1. Add a new WIFI account
1) Click the Browser icon on the Home screen and then click ‘WAP->Settings->Edit account->Add new’.
2) Press OK key to rename Account name, type ‘WiFi’ And then press OK key to complete edit. Select Done. Press Down key until ‘Date account’ field (it may be FET or something else) turn white color (highlighted) and press OK key to show Data account screen. Select ‘ Wireless LAN’ Then press BACK key and change to complete edit.
3) Now you will find WiFi account already added at the bottom of the list. Click it and select ‘Activate account’.
2. WiFi connection setuo
1) Click the Bowser icon on the Home screen and click ‘Data account->Wireless LAN’.
2) Click ‘ Search for networks’. A list of available networks appears if your phone is in the coverage of WIFI signal.
3) Select a wireless network you want to add and click ‘ Connect’ You may be asked to input the pre-shared key.
4) Once connect successfully, the WiFi signal icon on the Status Bar of the top of the screen will change to connect status.
5) Click ‘Google-M’ icon on the detailed home screen and click ‘Google search’ You may see Google mobile homepage after a while. Congratulations, now you can enjoy WiFi.
3. Web browsing
1) The built-in Opera browser enables you to take your full Web experience to your Sciphone G2. Stay in touch with your friends on Facebook, search with Google, get your email on the go, do your online banking…
2) To use Opera, just click the Browser icon on the Home screen and then click ‘Opera’.
4. Switch to other wireless connections
You may also access the Internet with GPRS/EDGE while WIFI is not available. Please click the Browser icon the Home screen and click ‘WAP->Edit account’. Select an available account and activate it. For more instructions please read User Manual.
NOTE: WiFIi will use up battery life while they are active. So please switch off WiFi when you’re not using it. To switch off WiFi, just go to ‘Browser->Data account->Wireless LAN’. And then disable WLAN.
